On February 18-19th, I had the privilege of attending an intensive Market Leaders Workshop led by Melvin Soh and Bryan Ang.

For context, Melvin Soh has been my business mentor since 2020, where I've invested over $50K in my growth. He's known for generating 9-figure results and working with Asia's top elite leaders, marketers, speakers, and coaches.

Bryan Ang, my marketing consultant, is the strategic mind behind several of Singapore and Asia's leading trainers and speakers, helping generate 8 figures in combined results.

Here are the most impactful insights & notes from the workshop. Enjoy!

Neuroplasticity & Breaking Through Plateaus

Something Melvin introduced was the concept of Neuroplasticity - the ability to unlearn and adapt…and it’s something that we all need in today’s constantly evolving era.

This is particularly challenging for experienced practitioners who have years of experience and used to doing things a certain way.

It's not just about being stubborn - our brains naturally resist change. When learning new approaches, pay attention to where you feel resistance. These moments of discomfort often signal opportunities for massive growth.

Success comes from combining proven expertise with emerging opportunities. Stay flexible in thinking while keeping what works.

For example, Adam Khoo was adaptable enough to include YouTube in his business which helped him generate millions. Joey Yap was adaptable to conduct webinars, create content while many folks in this space wasn’t willing to…aka leading to massive business & financial growth.

Trust Changes Everything

Previously, my view was that people are buying slower than ever - more information, more sceptical, more overwhelmed etc.

But Melvin shared something that shifted my perspective: many people are actually buying faster from ever - but only those they trust.

Think about your own behavior. When you trust someone, you'll often buy almost instantly. But for unfamiliar sources? You research extensively, open multiple tabs, wait for reviews, and often never purchase.

This explains why consistently creating valuable & authentic content matters so much. It's not about selling - it's about consistently demonstrating real value and expertise (esp. via your content).

The Mirror Principle

This was simply what Melvin shared previously & served as a powerful reminder:

The internal always reflects the external - aka you’ll attract more of people you’re like.

For example, if you're hesitant to invest in growth, you'll attract hesitant clients. If you confidently invest in trusted solutions, you'll attract decisive clients.

This also includes your buying behavior as well.
